How do I integrate Linea Research touring amps with existing loudspeaker systems or presets?
Using Linea Research’s control and telemetry software, System Engineer 8, you can connect, set up, control, and monitor amplifiers over Ethernet. This software identifies devices on your network and allows you to load manufacturer-approved loudspeaker preset libraries (available on the website) or create your own custom presets, which can be stored, exported, and shared easily.
Are Linea Research touring amps equipped with built-in DSP and network control?
Yes, Linea products have 96kHz DSP technology with powerful EQ, crossover, delay, limiter functions, and FiR filtering—all designed internally by Linea’s team rather than outsourced, providing exceptional system control and sonic purity
Do I need additional audio processing when using a LR product?
Linea Research DSP is a comprehensive audio tool that is more than capable in most professional applications. The advanced 96kHz DSP offers an array of unique, genuinely useful features. Because all aspects of the DSP algorithms are designed and handcrafted in-house by Linea, they are not available on products from any other manufacturer.
For example, LIR linear phase crossover filters are as easy to use as more conventional filter shapes and have less latency than FIR filters. Also, the powerful VX Limiter suite, which sports Peak, RMS and Excursion limiting, as well as multiband limiting for passive 2-way enclosures.
