The advanced 96kHz digital signal processor offers unique and useful features. In-house designed DSP algorithms are exclusive to Linea Research. For example, LIR (Linear Impulse Response) crossover filters are as easy to use as conventional filter shapes. They also provide lower latency than FIR filters. The powerful VX Limiter suite includes Peak and RMS limiting. It also provides multiband limiting for passive 2-way enclosures.

Supporting analogue, AES3, and Dante inputs and featuring analogue and Dante outputs, the NSC series makes it suitable for the most demanding applications, especially when flexibility is paramount.

When used as a loudspeaker management system or a digital crossover, the NSC Series delivers state-of-the-art features and performance. The NSC Series can receive, process, and transmit audio without leaving the digital domain. This makes the NSC Series an ideal audio controller for small, medium, and large systems. It remains effective even when amplifiers with in-built DSP are used.

The Ethernet connection on the NSC enables remote control, while a front panel optimised for challenging environments provides full local control. Control and telemetry via Linea’s intuitive System Engineer software application offers convenient, time-saving features, such as flexible management of presets and Group control.

FAQs

NSC24 provides 2 inputs and 4 outputs, suited to straightforward systems.

NSC46 includes 4 inputs and 6 outputs, and NSC48 offers 4 inputs and 8 outputs, increasing flexibility for designed applications, including Biamp monitor systems, FOH that cover multiple zones separately.

The NSC Series can integrate with Dante audio networks through an optional Dante interface, allowing audio to be sent and received over standard Ethernet connections. This makes it easy to connect with other Dante-enabled devices, simplifying cabling and system design. Combined with analogue and AES3 input connectivity and analogue output, the NSC Series can be used in both fully networked and traditional audio environments.

The NSC controllers have a comprehensive range of DSP tools for loudspeaker management, including routing, EQ, frequency dividing, limiting and FIR compatibility. The series also features Linea Research’s proprietary technologies, such as LIR (Linear Impulse Response) crossovers for low-latency, phase-accurate performance, along with the VX limiter suite, which provides peak, RMS and multiband limiting to protect loudspeakers while maintaining sound quality.

Yes. The NSC can be controlled and configured remotely using Linea Research’s System Engineer 8 software via an Ethernet network connection. This allows users to manage setup, adjustment and system monitoring from a desktop computer, giving the user a fast and efficient workflow, while local control is also available from the front panel when needed.

Professional audio systems that require precise control, reliable loudspeaker protection and flexible routing are ideally suited to the NSC Series. Typical applications include fixed installations, live venues, touring and rental environments, as well as theatres, houses of worship, clubs and hospitality spaces, ranging from smaller systems to more complex multi-zone deployments.
